One of the most powerful things that we have experienced as a family are the trips we’ve taken to meet the underprivileged children that we support around the world.
Several years ago, I traveled to Africa with my son, Jonathan, to meet a boy named Antony. Our trip to meet Antony changed both our lives forever. As I watched the boys playing soccer together in the filthy slums of Kenya, I realized the most important gift of all – I had come to see the cause up close, but Jonathan had come to make a friend.
What can you do today to involve your kids in giving? Don't wait to open your children up to the wonderful world of generosity.
After all, if you are not cultivating the next generation of givers in your family, who will?
