Calling all generous women! Let your voice be heard![]() Generous Women … now, there's a redundancy! Why are women so generous? Issues that I often struggle with such as greed and materialism they seem to overcome with relative ease. Take my wife (this is not a Henny Youngman joke!). Chris is constantly giving her time, her money, and most often, our possessions! If you need something and we have it, just come on over to the house and say so – and it is yours. I'm not kidding. TVs, couches, dining room tables, bedroom furniture … you name it, nothing is off limits. Did I mention that she once gave away my favorite couch! I'm still struggling with it. No one would argue that men and women are different in many ways. But have you ever thought about how they differ in the realm of giving? To help accomplish our mission of mobilizing resources to advance His Kingdom, we know that's it's imperative that we gain a better understanding of how the intersection of faith and generosity influences Christian women. So ladies, we need your help! NCF has partnered with Women Doing Well, an organization leading a research project to learn more about the unique needs of women as they seek to live and give in God’s image. If you are a woman, we would greatly appreciate you taking a few minutes to answer a brief survey about generosity. And if you are a man, please forward this to all the women you know so their opinions can be heard.
And men, I encourage you to get off the couch and do something generous today for the women in your life! David Wills is President of National Christian Foundation in our Atlanta office. His passions are centered on generosity and eternity, and he therefore invests his time helping others "lay up treasure in heaven" (Matthew 6:20). Add a comment
